Ronit Agassi
Ronit Agassi was awarded her B.A. in Psychology from Brooklyn College, Summa Cum Laude and is member of Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology. She received her M.Sc in Speech & Language Pathology from CUNY and, while still completing her degree, was chosen to present a paper at the NYSSLHA conference that detailed her contribution to the research on executive function, working memory, and the ability to process linguistic information in children with specific language impairment.
Ronit has been in the field of Speech-Language Pathology for over a decade, during which she has worked in Early Intervention services to remediate various speech-language and oral-motor/feeding disorders for infants and children with developmental delays, born prematurely, diagnosed with syndromes and/or other medical issues ranging from cleft palate to complex multi-system congenital diseases. Many of these issues do not “disappear” with age and often require fine tuning and remediation in adulthood. Ronit has expanded her practice to meet this need. Throughout, Ronit's goal for all her clients has always been to help them achieve their full potential in successful communication and social functioning in all areas of life. In addition to her private practice, Ronit has been a Speech-Language Pathologist Consultant to the Pulmonary Hypertension Association in Israel. In Israel, Ronit has done Diagnostic Feeding Evaluations, Feeding Consultations, Treatment Plans, served as Medical Liaison with American doctors and researched the most up to date evidence based practices, medications, and treatments. |
